Levi’s opens new store in Amsterdam

Yesterday the iconic denim brand Levi’s opened a new one-of-a-kind store in Amsterdam. The brand has been experimenting with ‘greener’ production methods for some time now, and durability is also a key element in the new store, which has a slight industrial feel to it due to the use of recyled materials.

Thrifted materials such as wood and steel have been given a new use: old church benches and scaffolding are displaying the collection, the fitting rooms and counter are made from old wood and abandoned bikes are decorating the walls, whilst at the same time reminding of the store’s location. The two-story high store will cater to both men and women, seven days a week. Levi’s is also planning on hosting several creative events in their new store, such as exhibitions and workshops.

Check it out on Kalverstraat 167.
