We’ve all seen them: photographs of bands in front of brick walls, blue skies or some shrub, devoid of any remote meaning of what the band might be about. I Shot the Band challenges young photographers to think outside the box and to capture the many forms of musical talent on and off stage. I Shot the Band stimulates and wants YOU to take initiative.

A unique photography competition, I Shot the Band combines photography and music. What is the influence of music on a photograph? Young talents get a chance to prove themselves and be challenged to create a photo series based on the image of a band. Important are creativity and the subtle visualization of the image of your favorite band.

In the coming weeks I Shot the Band will collaborate with BLEND Magazine to showcase the bands, photographers and challenges featured on I Shot the Band.
