By coincidence I met Martin Pyper. Martin is well respected for his posterdesigns for the Dutch National Ballet. This year again a poster by Martin’s MEstudio, photographed by Erwin Olaf, has been nominated… for the final edition of ‘Theater Affiche Prijs’. TIN (Theater Instituut Nederland) disappears as a sector institute because of government plans of June 27 on culture cuts. Strategy is to become a museum with a collection comparable to the Victoria and Albert Museum in Londen. A definite call on this shall be given in the fall of 2012, most likely by state scretary Halbe Zijlstra, who encourages this approach for preserving Dutch culture.
