Online radio station Red Light Radio (RLR) is located in the heart of the red light district, Amsterdam’s extremely touristy area of ‘sensual entertainment’. RLR is broadcasting from a former prostitution window and provides the opportunity for various artists, designers and writers to present their skills on public radio.
Since the start in December 2010, RLR has presented an extremely diverse program with music styles ranging from minimal wave to death metal to obscure and forgotten disco to the newest UK funky and dubstep sounds. Check out the great shows RLR did with artists like Faberyayo, El Pino & the Volunteers and Tom Trago at the Soundcloud page. Right now, RLR is looking for financial support to ensure it’s existence for the coming 12 months. This is why RLR started an online crowdfunding project at Voordekunst. Head over to the website and support this initiative.
