It’s time to try something new. That must have been the mutual thought of Mark Ronson and the Black Lips, when they decided to put their strengths together. It may look like an odd combination, an lo-fi garage punk band and a great pop producer, but both of the parties feel there is a strong connection: their love for music.

The first two songs they released are obviously a result of strong partnership. If we may say so, it is a sweet combination and the best of two worlds.The progressive noises of the underground with the stylish touch of Mark Ronson. Arabia Mountain is their new album and it hits stores on June 7th.

The Black Lips is an Atlanta-based band that debuted in 2000 and is now under the label of Vice Records. They had the reputation to be wild with mooning, nude acts, snogging, pissing and vomiting being a part of their act. In the meanwhile they toned that down to more decent behavior.
