XO Live: Music and food

IMG_4557XO Live, the festival formerly known as Extrema Outdoor, will welcome top chefs Ron Blaauw and Hans van Wolde to both cook and DJ during the festival on 13th July in Eindhoven. The renewed XO Live is aimed more at live music and experiences than Extrema Outdoor and believes this to be the future of electronic music festivals. Good food is part of this and that’s why the festival has chosen these top chefs to join the line-up.

The DJ chefs will perform and cook in XO Plus, the area aimed at the festivalgoer who wants more luxury and comfort. A tickets for XO Plus costs €89 instead of the regular €59, but adds a few perks such as access to the four exclusive XO Plus areas which offer a view on the main stage and the rest of the festival terrain. XO Plus guests also have access to an intimate area at the beach club where they can enjoy specialty snacks and champagne and where they can meet some of the festival’s artists. This area will also have diverse guest shows. XO Plus guests will have their own entrance, luxury toilets, a make-up room, lockers and the possibility to park their cars right next to the festival terrain.

Masterchef Ron Blaauw has been DJing ever since he was a teenager and runs a two-star restaurant in Amsterdam carrying his own name. Hans van Wolde, who owns two-star restaurant Beluga in Maastricht, will be his DJ partner for the day. He was born into a musical family from Rotterdam, and has worked his way up to two Michelin stars. He has been chosen as Dutch chef of the Year and his restaurant has received the award of Best Dutch Restaurant of the Year. Hans van Wolde has been DJing for three years now, but XO live will be his first festival.

The two DJ chefs are in good company with artists such as Knife Party, Justice, Innervisions, Major Lazer, and many more. The complete line-up can be found here. Tickets are available through Timoco and www.xofestival.nl
