Django Unchained is set in the deep south of the United States of America, two years before the beginning of the Civil War. Django (Jamie Foxx) is a slave whose turbulent past with his former owners brings him in contact with the German bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the hunt for the murderous Brittle brothers and only Django can lead him to the Brittles. The unorthodox Schultz obtains Django with the promise of granting him freedom when the Brittle brothers are captured  – dead or alive.
