‘Greetings from Tim Buckley’ is a chronicle of the days leading up to Jeff Buckley’s performance at his father’s tribute concert in 1991. The film will appear in Dutch cinemas on 26th September and we at Blend\ can give away exclusive Jeff Buckley box containing the DVDs ‘Grace Around the World’ (live recordings of his Grace tour) and ‘Amazing Grace: Jeff Buckley’ (a documentary). The film is set in 1991 when the young Jeff Buckley (played by Gossip Girl’s Penn Badgley) is spending his days rehearsing for the tribute show which will honour his father and former folk singer Tim Buckley. While coping with the heritage of a father he hardly knew, Jeff forms a friendship with a mysterious young woman who works on the show and starts to discover the strength of his own musical voice.
