William Klein is an American born photographer and film maker noted for his extensive use of unusual photographic techniques in the context of photojournalism and fashion photography.

Foam finishes 2013 with a unique retrospective exhibition of Klein’s work and will dedicate the entire “Foam” to the life and work of this legendary genius.  The career of William Klein spans more than sixty years and has an immense influence on photography during the second half of the twentieth century and still nowadays. The exhibition gives ample coverage to Klein’s ground-breaking work in New York in the 1950s while also displaying work made in Rome, Moscow and Tokyo.

William Klein will be present in Foam (Amsterdam) at the opening of the exhibition on Thursday, 19 December 2013.
