Baz Luhrmann’s ‘The Great Gatsby’ sees its Dutch light of day on 16th May. The long-awaited film will be shown in Studio/K in Amsterdam as the first 3D film in their theatre. To celebrate this occasion, Studio/K will throw a Roaring Twenties inspired party on 17th May.

There will be nice suits, swinging jazz, smokings, cigarette holders, flapper girls with short skirts and a glimpse on the decadent parties of the 1920s United States. Studio/K will resemble a Speakeasy bar with live jazz, a poker table and Long Island Iced Teas.

Expectations for the film run high, as it is directed by Baz Luhrmann (Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge!) and includes roles by Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio. The unique sound track will include music by Lana Del Rey, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Fergie, The XX, Gotye, and Florence + The Machine.
