Tautochronos

German photographer Michel Lamoller shoots pictures of the same places at a different time, then prints them out to layer them and physically merging them into a single image. The series is called ‘Tautochronos’ (from Greek prefixes tauto- meaning same or iso- equal, and chrono time) and plays with volume and space, focusing on the compression of place and time. The resulting photographs bare deconstructed figures as a visual reminder that people are in constant change and never fully revealed.
