Whether deliberately or subconsciously, works and styles often have a way of influencing the manners in which we form creations today. Showing the power of design in the idea of presenting new concepts in ways that show respect for its predecessors, this work by PA Design has been developed in a style reminiscent of famous Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. Titled ‘Monde Riant’, this work by Catherine Denoyelle and Assia Quétin adopts the painter’s minimalist and timeless technique and applies it to stationary, with each sticky note block having its own character defined by dimensions and colour. The simplicity is enhanced by the divides in black, replicating the artist’s solid bars.
