Discover this week’s best in music videos after the break, with music by FKA Twigs, Dye, and School of Seven Bells.

1. FKA Twigs – Two Weeks

British singer FKA Twigs is set to release her first full-length, LP1, with first single and video ‘Two Weeks’. With production reminiscent of Clams Casino, it’s a record filled with electro-pop and a lush slow-motion video directed by Nabil Elderkin. After two EPs, it’s a richer track than ever before, with more layers but with her trusted sultry voice.

2. Dye – She’s Bad

Made by the collective Dent De Cuir, the video for ‘She’s Bad’ by Dye is an experiment in biophilia. In collaboration with the BBC (the scenes are borrowed from the magnificent series ‘Planet Earth’), they have created a little piece of cinema with lots of recontextualizing, expressing the lyrics visually.

3. School of Seven Bells – I Got Knocked Down (But I’ll Get Up)

Near the end of 2013, School of Seven Bells lost its producer and guitarist Benjamin Curtis to T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Before that faithful day, he recorded a cover of Joey Ramone’s ‘I Got Knocked Down (But I’ll Get Up)’ from his hospital bed in NYC in its entirety on his laptop.

Directors and long time friends of the group, Toby Halbrooks and Alan Del Rio Ortiz, created this visually stunning piece. Revolving around a cross-country road trip stopping in Indio and Joshua Tree, the video celebrates life while displaying its cyclical and inexplicable properties.
