It’s almost time for the annual Museumnacht (Museum Night)!
On Saturday the 7th of November a whole bunch of Amsterdam-based museums are open from 7PM until 2AM. Culture lovers can be delighted by live music, dance, performances, film, special tours and food & drinks. But with more than 50 participating museums, the choice on where to go isn’t easy. Worry no longer, we made a selection for you.

START \ Ballet meets Sience at NEMO 
For the sixteenth edition of Museumnacht, the National Ballet will open the event with a spectacular performance at Science Center NEMO. With the stairwell serving as stage, The Junior Company of the the National Ballet will give a special performance. It promises to be a unique combination of science, technology and classic arts.

19:30 \ Seeing sounds with Tom Trago at EYE
Never underestimate the power of sounds in a movie. On that account, techno/house DJ Tom Trago dived into EYE ‘s inexhaustible film collection and created a new soundtrack for a special selection of films. His audiovisual show takes you on a futuristic film trip in which the old challenges the new and film and music complement each other perfectly.

21:00 \ In bed with the master at The Van Gogh museum 
Taking a walk trough the bedrooms of Van Gogh and Munch is possible during this year’s Museum Night. Google Cultural Institute and Veejays.com turned the works of van Gogh and Munch into virtual reality. Experience the famous paintings from within, it’s the closest you’ll ever be to them.

22:00 \ Exhibit your creation at Stedelijk Museum 
Always wanted to have your own piece of art hanging in the Stedelijk Museum? This is your chance! Get inspired by the Zero movement “get creative”. Who knows, you might be the new Yayoi Kusama or Jean Tinguely!

23:00 \ Room for a conversation at the glass house at ARCAM
In need of a little peace in the midst of all the buzz of Museumnacht? You can be read to by a talented writer or let a renowned architect sketch out your dream house whilst sitting in this glass house.

00:00 \ Afterparty at Club Kade 
End the night at ARCAM, where upcoming DJ’s will make you dance the night away.

The Museumnacht tickets come with a discount on public transportation for the night, to get you from one location to the other safely. And that’s not all, it also grants you another visit to one of the participating museums ( except Artis, Micropia, Harry Mulisch House and Heesterveld). The visiting day is yours to choose, as long as it’s before the end of the year.
