Kunsthal Rotterdam presents Museum Minutes; a clever initiative by Erik Kessels (KesselsKramer), Les Willers (OPERA Amsterdam), Cyril Van Sterkenburg (Vandejong) and Merien Kunst (Woedend!). Apparently on average visitors spend as little as nine seconds studying a work of art but spend a mere 20 minutes watching tv while on a treadmill. Museum Minutes seeks to combine these two by erecting a line of treadmills in front of famous artworks, in the hope that people will spend more than 8 seconds studying the paintings. In order to track your dedication there is a timer positioned above each painting.
Museum Minutes is on display in the Kunsthal Rotterdam until January 13, 2013.
