Magnetron Music kicks off its ten-year anniversary with a club tour

Dutch label Magnetron Music has been around for 10 years now and that’s a good opportunity to celebrate with a club tour that starts in their hometown. During the first stop of their ‘MagnetronMusic 10 Years, Now We’re Talking’ the label will take over Tolhuistuin Amsterdam on February 20 with all of their signed artists: Faberyayo, Vjeze Fur and Willie Wartaal of De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig, Sofie Winterson, Vic Crezée, etc. etc.. The first edition will also have a few firsts: the youngest member of the Magnetron family, Donnie, who was signed only recently will play his latest tracks, while founder Bas Bron and DJ 618 will present the new Footwork/Juke project Belmer.

Bron will also perform together with Rimer London as Comtron. And both Falco Benz and Sofie Winterson will treat the audience to a live show. At the last moment, Fatima Yamaha was added to the line-up, an enigmatic artist who was featured on one of the first Magnetron Music releases. Her track ‘What’s A Girl To Do’ has been a big underground hit for the past 10 years, but still sounds fresh. This is a unique opportunity since she doesn’t perform very often.

The venue will also host an exhibition in honour of designer Sandder Lanen who created the original Magnetron logo. Expect tees, videos and album covers he has made for Magnetron in the past ten years. Founded by Kostijn Egberts and Bas Bron, Magnetron Music has proved to be more than a record label: it has grown into a leading platform for collabs between musicians and artists with a passion for electronic music.
