After releasing a few singles earlier this year (listen to ‘River’ here and ‘Said and Done’ here), Dutch singer Sofie Winterson’s debut album ‘Wires’ has now seen the light of day. Winterson found her artistic voice by combining her folk roots with electronic music. This led her to making dreamlike indie pop, by press also referred to as kitsch pop or art pop and sometimes compared to artists such as Beach House or The XX. She kicked off her career with the song ‘Your Eyes’, which was featured in a world wide Braun campaign in 2013. In 2014 she followed up with a first single entitled ‘Said and Done’, which was accompanied by a music video directed by artist duo Pinar & Viola. The same year she presented her live show at SXSW and Eurosonic/Noorderslag. Listen to the album below or through iTunes and Spotify.
