More or less 25 years after we said our goodbyes to the town of Twin Peaks, David Lynch and Mark Frost will be revisiting that wonderful and strange place. Premium cable network Showtime will host a mini-series set to premiere in 2016 – 25 years after the final ‘How’s Annie?’ cliffhanger episode originally aired. Shooting of the 9 episode series will start in 2015, with as much of the original cast as possible with Kyle MacLachlan who already confirmed his comeback as Special Agent Dale Cooper:

Composer Angelo Badalamenti of that haunting theme song and Emmy Award-winning editor Duwayne Dunham will likely be involved as well.

Head over to New York Magazine for a definitive ranking of the knitwear that took centre stage in the original series and watch a teaser for the 2016 comeback below.

“The mysterious and special world of Twin Peaks is pulling us back. We’re very excited. May the forest be with you.”
—David Lynch and Mark Frost
