Last week the fifteen AMsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) graduates showed their collection in the World Fashion Centre. We have listed our top three of  favourites below.

Tess van Zalinge

Hands down the favourite designer of the show. Tess van Zalinge’s lingerie collection was not just gorgeous, it was made perfectly. No visible closures, perfectly fitted garments which is very hard with these kinds of delicate and stretchy fabrics. A very nice treat!

And it did not end with just a few looks. Unlike the other students, Van Zalinge went the extra mile and redid all of her looks in colour to show her diversity.

Lina Beltran

My favourite garment of the show was this beautiful bodysuit by Lina Beltràn. Her collection consisted of light aqua’s and rust colours. The only downside to the collection: the other three looks which are not displayed here, which had all sorts of crazy frilly latex and plastic additions which did not seem to match these three other beautiful looks.

Yvonne Kwok

Kwok’s collection featured intricately folded items, clownesque collars and corsetlike legwear which reminded me of Barbara Hepworth’s threaded sculptures. A very playful collection.
